Everyone knows how their body feels after a hard workout or when they have given it their "all".  You feel tight, stiff, uncomfortable, possibly unwilling to do more.  Doesn't it feel great when someone massages the tension out of your stiff muscles?

Horses and dogs feel the same way.  Their muscles react in the same way ours do.  Can you imagine the relief they would get from having the same therapeutic massage benefits that you receive?

You already have the best trainer, the best veterinarian, the best farrier and the best tack.  Your training sessions are focused and productive.  What else can you add to give yourself that competitive edge?

A therapeutic massage for your horse or dog given by a Certified Sports Massage Therapist.

All About Ellen

Greetings!!!  Creature Comfort Massage is the result of Ellen LeCompte Ferguson's lifelong dream.  I am a native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and my childhood was spent locally where I was an active participant in the Trailblazers 4-H Club and the Eastern Shore Western Horse Show circuit.  I also spent my time playing tennis, life guarding, teaching swimming and working for the University of Maryland Environmental Lab at Horn Point.  I attended college at the University of South Carolina where I received my Bachelor of Science.

After spending the first 8 years of my professional life in a career I found unrewarding I decided to make a drastic change.  Nothing else in the world excites me more than working with and around animals so I decided to pursue that avenue.  I attended Equissage, the world renowned school of equine sports massage where I received certification as both an Equine Sports Massage Therapist and a Canine Massage Therapist.  I then resigned my position as Chemist with an international specialty gas company and joined the staff of Healing Hands Animal Hospital in Salisbury, MD as a veterinary technician.  This change has been one of the most rewarding decisions that I have ever made.  My life now has a purpose and direction that I find fulfilling.

My husband and I reside in Trappe, MD with our 11 year young Rottweiler, Thor.  In addition I have two aged Quarter Horses, Cody (24 years) and MIssy (25 years) who reside at Harris Paint Horses in Federalsburg, MD.  Missy endured a tragic accident in June of 2005 and the fact that she is alive today is due to the skill of the physicians and surgeons at New Bolton Center at the University of Pennsylvania , Veterinary Medical Center in Easton, MD and Cindy Harris and Anna Forbes of Harris Paint Horses.  Look for Missy's story appearing soon on this web site!
